NSRS Logo Rationale
The NSRS logo embodies the spirit of a dynamic, forward-looking system that seeks excellence in delivering world-class goods and services. The well-defined strokes moving outwards and upwards reflect the pursuit of excellence through establishing work performance standards, identifying job competencies and skills acquisition.
The dot complementing the lines creates the imagery of people in the system professionally striving for world-class performance. The tick, created by the combination of three strokes and a dot, signifies national recognition of the skills acquired by people. The three lines in different colours depict the tripartite partnership among employers, labour and government in the NSRS initiative; the three components of the NSRS - work performance standards, job competencies and skills acquisition; the three levels of skills defined by the NSRS; and the benefits of the NSRS to the nation, organisation and its people. The color, orange, reflects the energy and dynamism of the workforce in the pursuit of excellence. Green denotes the growth and higher productivity that result from work performance standards and skills. Blue, representing standards, reinforces the importance of establishing work performance standards for motivating higher achievement and sustaining competitiveness. The NSRS acronym, set apart from the icon, denotes the ocean of opportunities for organisations with progressive work performance standards and people with skills. |
